Lay Your Head Down Child

Gwen, face pale and hands shaking, shut the door softly as she stepped into her house, her hand on the doorknob as she stared down at her shaking hands with a look of pain, sadness, and anger.

Whast had they done? What had she done?! She'd... She'd been apart of a murder. She'd burnt a man alive.... She.. She'd....

Gwen gripped the doorknob hard, her knuckles turning white, as she let out a chocked sob, placing her free hand over her mouth as her body shook from held back sobs and screams.

"Mama," Gwen's eyes widened, and her head snapped around. Her heart sunk as she stared at Nancy, her daughter, shaking and hiccuping as she whiped at her eyes. Her stuffed rabbit hung from her hand, as she dragged it behind her. "I had bad dweam."

Gwen walked numbly up to her daughter, and scooped her in her arms, squeezing lightly. "Oh.. Oh sweetie, it's... It's OK. Bad dreams... They can't hurt you." Gwen continued to sooth her daughter, as she walked Nancy back to her room, placing her in her bed.

"It was scawy," she whimpered, as Gwen pulled the covers over her daughter, and ran her hand through the little girl's hair. "Mr. Fweddy was getting hurt!"

Gwen froze, her fingers going numb and pulling back from her daughters hair, as she stared wide eyed and pale at her daughter. No... No she couldn't have known!

"He was bein eatin by a big fire monster! He was scweamin and cwying!" Nancy started to cry again as she looked up at her terror filled mother.

Gwen felt her heart drop to her stomach as she pulled her daughter against her chest and sobbed into her daughters hair, trying to escape the echoing of Fred Krueger's screams that would now haunt her for the rest of her life.

D'aww! Ain't little Nancy cute! *Cooes*

Ain't got much to say about this one. Just wanted to make it. And Freddy/Nancy related work has takin over my brain!!
